What does jackfruit taste like?

Because of its neutral taste, this fruit is a real all-rounder! With spices and/or marinades, jackfruit can be given pretty much any flavor, from pulled pork to poultry substitute to tuna!

Its consistency is reminiscent of the juiciest pieces of meat, which you will want to do without after discovering jackfruit. In addition, these good fruits also grow in home gardens, i.e. mixed cultures that do not require any artificial irrigation or pesticides! So: be brave and try the SUPERFRUITREVULOTION of this decade!

In Southeast Asia, the fruit that grows on trees is part of everyday cuisine and is very popular in the region. No wonder, because it is ideal as a vegan or vegetarian meat substitute and is also healthy and rich in fiber.

Possible uses:

Seasoned, marinated and heated to use like poultry!

In burgers, in burritos, in curries, in enchiladas, in salads, on pizza, in soups and stews, in sauces...

frequently asked Questions

Our jackfruit grows in Sri Lanka under sustainable and natural conditions in the home gardens of our partner families, without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The fruits are carefully harvested by hand. After harvesting, the jackfruit is processed in two ways:

As “pulled” jackfruit, it is chopped or plucked, which results in a meat-like texture.

We also offer jackfruit in pieces, which can be used in a variety of recipes and are just as easy to use.

The young jackfruit is harvested unripe and is therefore tasteless. The flesh can be used in savory dishes.

The sweet jackfruit is harvested when the jackfruit is ripe on the tree. This makes it a sweet exotic fruit. We pickle the sweet jackfruit in natural pineapple juice.
